Outline of Orthopaedics

Editors: John Crawford Adams and David Hamblen

I used a previous edition of this book as an undergraduate (some time ago!) and was astonished to read that the first edition appeared way back in 1956. So generations of students and medics have used this book.

This new edition continues in the fashion of its predecessors, being comprehensible, having good coverage and useful for the non-specialist. GPs will find that the subject matter is ideal for their needs and this single text of 460 pages, will easily suffice as their sole source of orthopaedic knowledge.

Its relaxed style, sensible use of illustrations and its broad coverage make this a must have for the practice library. In addition there are many GPs doing some form of medico-legal work these days and a book like this will undoubtedly help their report writing. The book itself is also good value for money and is undoubtedly one of the leaders in its field as a non-specialist text.
